Prizemoney

Prizemoney for the 2010 season at Corbiewood this year will be as follows (minimum):
Grade 0: 1^st £260, 2^nd £70 and 3^rd £45. Horse Entry £25.
Top race each meeting: 1^st £350, 2^nd £100 and 3^rd £50. Horse Entry £30.
All other races: 1^st £300, 2^nd £80 and 3^rd £45. Horse Entry £25.

For owners who are non members of the SHRC then horse entry will be an additional £5. i.e For a non member to enter a Grade 0 horse, the entry fee will be £30.
To become a member of the SHRC it costs £15 for the year and makes you eligible for the end of season awards in addition to the discounted horse entry fees. To become a member please contact Freddy Hay on 07795621864.

Corbiewood Super 6 Series

2010 will see the introduction of a new Series at Corbiewood to kick off the season. The series will be run over the first 6 meetings at Corbiewood to determine the Early Season 2010 Track Champion. It will be based on a points system for every horse Grade 1 and above. Points can be gained in the first 5 meetings with the top 8 points scorers qualifying for the Series Final on meeting no 6 of the 2010 season at Corbiewood. Points will be awarded as follows:

1^st – 4pts, 2^nd – 3pts, 3^rd – 2pts and unplaced 1pt.

The final will be run as a Preferred FFA for a purse of £1000. The winner will receive £700, second place £200 and third place £100.
In the event of a tie then the horse with the most wins, then 2nds, then 3rds and if required the most starts will progress to the final.
The series will begin on the first meeting held at Corbiewood this year which is anticipated to be May 6^th. The Series will continue each week afterwards – May 13^th, May 20^th, May 27^th, June 4^th and final night on June 10^th.

This Series has been put in place to try and encourage owners to get their horses in work and racing at Corbiewood. Please do your utmost to get your horses ready for the inaugural ‘Corbiewood Super 6 Series’ and be the first name on the trophy.
